Almighty Father, I place myself under Your authority and protection.

You see every danger that is visible to me and every danger I cannot see.

Psalm 121:7–8 declares that You will watch over my life, my coming, and my going.

I stand upon that promise.

I decree that evil will not govern my life.

Fear will not control my thoughts.

Deception will not direct my decisions.

Darkness will not find agreement within me.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and reject every evil influence attempting to draw me away from God.

I sever my agreement with every lie, temptation, threat, intimidation, and destructive pattern.

I resist the devil, and I stand submitted to God.

Expose what is hidden.

Reveal dishonest motives, unsafe situations, manipulation, and deception before they can cause harm.

Give me discernment without paranoia and wisdom without fear.

According to Colossians 1:13, God has rescued me from the dominion of darkness and brought me into the kingdom of His Son.

I belong to Jesus Christ.

Let the refining fire of Your holiness burn away every lie, sinful attachment, and influence that does not agree with Your will.

Let truth consume deception and light drive out darkness.

No evil scheme will separate me from God’s love.

No unseen danger will escape God’s notice.

No spiritual attack will possess authority greater than Jesus Christ.

I decree that I am covered by God’s presence, guarded by His wisdom, and established in His truth.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does the prayer “Protection Against Seen and Unseen Evil” mean?

You are asking God to cover both categories of danger: the ones you already know about and the ones you have no way of seeing. The heart of it is Colossians 1:13 — you have already been moved out of darkness — so the prayer is less about begging for safety and more about refusing to let fear or deception run your decisions.

How do I apply “Protection Against Seen and Unseen Evil” to my own life?

Write down one visible danger and one thing you sense but cannot prove, and pray Psalm 121:7–8 over both. Ask God to expose one situation where you suspect a motive is dishonest — then act on what he shows you. Notice where discernment has turned into paranoia and hand that suspicion to God instead of rehearsing it. Say Colossians 1:13 out loud any time fear tries to reopen a settled question about who you belong to.

What Bible verse goes with this protection prayer?

“The LORD will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life.” — Psalm 121:7 (NIV) Read the verse slowly before and after praying so the words shape how you pray rather than only how you feel.

Can I pray this prayer every day?

Yes. These daily prayers are free to read, print, or share, and repeating one for a week often does more than reading a new one each day. Praying the same scripture repeatedly helps it settle into how you think and respond.
