Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to You first today — not to my plans, my phone, or my worries.

I need what only You can give, and I receive it now by faith.

I put on the belt of truth.

Tighten it around every excuse, every half-truth, and every story I have been telling myself.

Let truth hold me together when I am tempted to bend.

I put on the breastplate of righteousness.

It is not my own earned goodness; it is the righteousness You gave me in Christ.

Guard my heart from shame on one side and pride on the other.

I strap on the gospel of peace as shoes for my feet.

Wherever I walk today — into work, a hard conversation, or a familiar worry — let my steps be steady because the peace of Christ goes with me.

I take up the shield of faith.

Every flaming arrow of fear, accusation, temptation, and discouragement is extinguished right now.

I choose to believe what You have said more than what I feel.

I put on the helmet of salvation.

My mind belongs to a saved person.

My thoughts are not a battlefield for despair; they are guarded by the hope of what You have finished.

I take the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word.

Give me a verse today, and let me speak it before the enemy speaks his lie.

Your Word is the only weapon I need.

I am not dressing up for a show — I am dressing for war.

Help me to stand firm, to resist evil, and to remember that the battle is already decided by the victory of Jesus.

In Jesus' name, amen.

NIV Scripture reference: Ephesians 6:10–18.
