Father, I dedicate myself and my home to You.
I ask You to make my home a place of safety, prayer, truth, forgiveness, respect, and rest.
Begin this work within me.
Before I focus on what anyone else needs to change, show me what needs to change in my own heart, words, attitudes, and responses.
Remove pride, hostility, resentment, impatience, and the need to have the final word.
Your Word tells me to let the peace of Christ rule in my heart (Colossians 3:15, NIV).
I give Your peace permission to rule my reactions.
Let peace govern how I speak, listen, disagree, forgive, and establish boundaries.
When I feel provoked, remind me that “a gentle answer turns away wrath” (Proverbs 15:1, NIV).
Place a guard over my mouth.

Give me humility to apologize when I am wrong and wisdom to recognize when a conversation needs to pause.
