Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I am grieving a relationship that ended.
I am not only grieving a person; I am grieving the future I had already built in my mind.
You know the details I do not say out loud — what was said, what was done, what was never explained.
I bring all of it into Your presence instead of carrying it alone.
Psalm 147:3 says You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.
My heart is broken.
I am asking for real healing, not a distraction that only numbs it.
Keep me from filling this emptiness with things that will cost me later — the wrong person, the wrong habit, the late-night text I will regret.
Where I gave too much of myself, restore me.
Where I ignored warning signs, teach me.
Where I settled for less than Your best, give me a standard I will not lower again.
Free me from bitterness.
Hebrews 12:15 warns that a bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
I do not want my next season poisoned by this one.
I forgive them.
Not because the hurt was small, but because I refuse to stay tied to what wounded me.
I release them to You and take my heart back.
Guard my identity.
I am not defined by who stayed or who left.
I am Yours, and Your love for me was never conditional on their choice.
Give me clarity in the loneliness.
Let me hear Your voice more clearly than the memories that replay when the house is quiet.
