Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask You to guard my heart against envy, comparison, and jealousy.

Proverbs 14:30 says, “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones” (NIV).

I do not want a rotting heart.

I want peace.

I confess the places where I have measured my life against someone else's and come away bitter, discouraged, or quietly resentful.

Forgive me for wanting what belongs to another instead of stewarding what belongs to me.

I renounce every agreement with the lie that another person's blessing is my loss.

You are not a God of scarcity.

What You have given them does not reduce what You have prepared for me.

Galatians 6:4 tells me to test my own actions, so that I can take pride in myself alone, without comparing myself to someone else.

Teach me to measure my life by Your calling on it, not by anyone's highlight reel.

James 3:16 warns that where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice.
