Compassionate Father, I come to You with the heaviness I am carrying.
Some days I feel exhausted, numb, isolated, fearful, or unable to imagine that life can improve.
Meet me in this darkness.
Like the writers of the Psalms, I pour out my heart before You.
I will not pretend that everything is well when I am hurting.
Remind me that feelings of hopelessness are not prophecies about my future.
Your Word says that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit.
Be near to me today.
Quiet accusing thoughts and help me reject the lie that I am worthless, abandoned, or beyond help.
Give me strength for the next faithful step: getting out of bed, eating, resting, taking prescribed medication, calling someone trustworthy, attending counseling, or asking for prayer.
Surround me with people who will listen compassionately rather than judge me.
Renew my mind with what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise.
Restore hope gradually where I cannot feel it immediately.
Hold me when I cannot hold myself together.
I ask not only for relief, but also for wise treatment, supportive community, healthy routines, and deep healing.
Let Your peace guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Scriptures: Psalm 34:18; Psalm 42:5; Psalm 55:22; Lamentations 3:21–24; Philippians 4:6–8; 1 Peter 5:7.
