Father, You created relationships to reflect love, faithfulness, truth, and mutual care.
I bring before You every relationship that has become controlling, obsessive, manipulative, immoral, abusive, or spiritually unhealthy.
Give me wisdom to recognize the difference between biblical love and emotional captivity.
Where I have made another person the source of my identity, security, or worth, forgive me.
Where sexual sin has created confusion and attachment, cleanse my conscience and restore my ability to establish holy boundaries.
I release every person whom I have tried to control.
I surrender those who have rejected, abandoned, betrayed, or manipulated me.
Help me forgive without returning to unsafe circumstances.
Teach me that forgiveness does not require enabling abuse, denying the truth, or abandoning wise boundaries.
Guard my heart and renew my mind.
Remove obsessive thoughts, unhealthy fantasies, jealousy, and the compulsion to return to relationships that repeatedly destroy my peace.
Help me grieve what has ended and accept what I cannot change.
According to Psalm 147:3, You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.
Restore the parts of my life that became lost in another person.
Root my identity in Christ.
Surround me with healthy community and relationships characterized by truth, respect, purity, patience, and peace.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Scriptures: Psalm 147:3; Proverbs 4:23; 1 Corinthians 6:16–20; 1 Corinthians 13:4–7; Ephesians 4:15; Colossians 3:12–15.
