Father, thank You for the time, abilities, opportunities, and responsibilities You have given me.
I confess that fear, distraction, perfectionism, discouragement, or lack of discipline has sometimes kept me from acting.
Show me the true cause of my procrastination.
If I need rest, help me rest without guilt.
If I need treatment for depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or another health condition, lead me to appropriate care.
If I am avoiding responsibility, give me courage to begin.
Teach me to number my days and use them wisely.
Help me break overwhelming assignments into manageable steps.
Give me strength to complete today’s work instead of being paralyzed by the whole journey.
Deliver me from comparison.
Another person’s progress does not cancel my calling.
Help me work heartily, honestly, and consistently as unto You.
When I make mistakes, teach me rather than allowing shame to stop me.
Establish the work of my hands.
Develop my skills and strengthen my attention.
Give me wisdom about what to continue, what to delegate, and what to release.
I reject the belief that I must feel perfectly motivated before I act.
By Your grace, I will take the next faithful step.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Scriptures: Psalm 90:12, 17; Proverbs 6:6–11; Ecclesiastes 9:10; Colossians 3:23–24; 2 Timothy 1:7.

What Bible verse goes with this discipline prayer?
“Establish the work of our hands upon us.” — Psalm 90:17 Read the verse slowly before and after praying so the words shape how you pray rather than only how you feel.
